Garage Floor Coating Procedure
Self-Priming Binder Coat is a high solids, low odor material designed as a base coat for color chip flooring. This epoxy adheres tenaciously to damp or dry concrete and gives ample open time for broadcasting the color chips. The material is formulated with low odor glycol ether solvents that are considerably less hazardous than conventional aromatic or ketone solvents.
Vinyl Acrylic Paint Chips are colorfast chips used in decorative seamless flooring. These color chips are comprised of pigments, resin, filler and additives that provide a uniquely coated finish.
Second Coat of Epoxy (1st clear coat) is a low viscosity, 100% solids resin system. This clear coat material cures blush-free and provides an outstanding balance of physical strength, flexibility and chemical resistance. This epoxy has excellent clarity for use over acrylic chip floors and decorative architectural concrete.
Polyaspartic (2nd clear coat) is a two-component, high solids, aliphatic polyaspartic. This unique resin chemistry has the desirable properties of polyester-polyurethane materials, yet has a faster cure time and fewer film thickness limitations. It was developed as a high-performance coating for various protective and seamless flooring applications. Polyaspartic is ideal for projects with a quick turnaround requiring abrasion/chemical resistance with a low VOC (volatile organic compounds).
